It is officially Spring, and our school is filled with activity. Next week is school spirit week at TOW! Find out how to show your spirit.
Spring also means it’s Little League season! For a fun Friday night with the family, head on over to Riddle Field for a 4:30 or 6:45 game, and have a Riddle Burger!

TOW KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
- TOW Kindergarten Registration – Wednesday, May 13
from 9:00 – 12:00 p.m.
(TOW MPR) - Parent Kindergarten Orientation – Wednesday, May 27 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. (TOW MPR)
To register for 2015-16 Kindergarten, students must be five years old on or before September 1, 2015. View details on required registration documents and online enrollment, as well as El Morro registration information. Placement in the early start kindergarten will be handled on a first come first serve basis. Registration packets will be time/date stamped with your early start/late start preference. If your work schedule requires your child to attend class at 8AM, we encourage you enroll early since space is limited.
TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN
The purpose of the Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program is to build a bridge between preschool or early learning and kindergarten.
- To be eligible for the TK program, students must turn five years old between September 2 and December 2, 2015.
- The LBUSD TK class is held on the El Morro Elementary School campus.
- The TK class schedule will be the same as the Early Start kindergarten schedule.
- Evening Orientation Tuesday, April 14 at 6:00 p.m. or
Thursday, May 14 at 9:30 a.m. at El Morro Elementary School. - View the TK Information Sheet for more details on the TK program. As a TOW family, you may register for TK at TOW on May 13 (but the program is held at El Morro). View registration and orientation details.
COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER (CLC)
CLC Orientation for the upcoming school year is April 1st at 9:45am in the courtyard. More info. There is also a parent information meeting Monday, March 30, at 10AM in the MPR for CLC parents to provide input to Mr. Conlon and Mrs. Winston about the process of filling the teacher vacancies in CLC for the 2015-2016 school year.
REMINDER FROM COACHES
Please mark your child’s clothing and lunch bags with their name! There are many jackets and sweatshirts in the Lost and Found that we can’t return. If we just had a name, they would be back in the hands of their rightful owners!

JOG-A-THON
Last Friday was awesome! Thanks to the many volunteers who helped facilitate such a successful day! All Jog-A-Thon envelopes are due by Friday, April 3rd. Let’s all do our best to reach out and collect as many pledges as possible to reach our school-wide goal of $55,000!

BOOK SWAP
Start collecting grade-appropriate books to bring in–Book Swap is coming right after Spring Break! We’ll be collecting books the week of April 13, with the big swap happening on April 17. Volunteers, we need you to make it happen. Reach out to Sheri Morgan and let her know you want to be a part of the swap.
IMAGINATION CELEBRATION
Attention all artists! The 2015 Imagination Celebration is just around the corner. Put the finishing touches on one or two great pieces of art and bring them to the front office NO LATER THAN Tuesday, April 14th. Art selected for exhibit is showcased at the South Coast Plaza Crate & Barrel Wing, and some pieces are selected for other prestigious exhibits, including the Festival of Arts Junior Art exhibit here in Laguna Beach. Entry labels (required) can be obtained on the Orange County Department of Education Website. More details.

AMERICAN LEGION ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT
Per tradition, American Legion Post 222 is hosting the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 5th at 1:00 p.m. sharp on the LBHS baseball field. All kids 9 years and younger are invited to find more than 1,000 colored eggs and candy! Come early (12:30) and have your picture taken with a live Easter bunny!
