Weekly Update: 6/4 – 6/12

 In News

Hello TOW Families,

Summer is approaching…fast. We’ve had lots of fun TOW togetherness the past week—from checking out the classrooms and cheering on the Angels to enjoying band and strings concerts and celebrating our parent volunteers. And there’s more fun to come, especially for our graduating 5th graders!

PRINCIPAL BLAST

5th GRADE PROMOTION

5th grade promotion will be Thursday, June 18, following the schedule listed below.  Dress code is as follows: Boys are asked to wear pants and a collared shirt (Suits and ties are optional). Girls are asked to avoid strapless dresses or wear a sweater covering bare shoulders and avoid high heeled shoes.  Please be sure dresses are of appropriate length.  We encourage parents to keep TOW siblings in their classrooms so they can enjoy the last day with their classmates.  If you are planning to leave with your child after the reception please be sure to sign them out in the main office.  More details will be coming from the 5th grade promotion committee in your child’s backpack as well.

Schedule for the morning:
7:45 – 8:10 – parent seating
8:15 – student procession begins
9:55 – closing ceremony
10:00 – reception on patio

BUS DRIVER APPRECIATION DAY

On Wednesday, June 10, let’s show our bus drivers how much we appreciate them by presenting them with a small gift–handmade cards, flowers from your garden or maybe a sweet treat. Thank you Durham Transportation, for safely driving our kids to and from school!
