Weekly Update: 5/22 – 5/29
Hello TOW Families,
You know we’re almost at the end of the year when Young Americans are singing and fifth graders are square dancing on the blacktop! TOW is filled with activity this time of year, and we are always excited to see you all at our many events and celebrations. Thank you for taking the time to support your kids! Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend with family and friends and we’ll see you all on Tuesday.
PRINCIPAL BLAST
MORNING DROP-OFF
Please remember that 7:40 is the earliest time to drop off your children on campus. We also want to encourage parents dropping off their students in the morning to utilize the drop off line. We have plenty of volunteers opening doors allowing for the line to move quickly.
NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION
Parent Orientation for New Families will be this coming Wednesday from 8:30-9:30am in the MPR for 1st–5th graders and 9:30-10:30 for Kinder. Be sure to register your child with Claudia in the main office as soon as possible. Kinder placement in early bird versus late owl is on a first come first served basis.
LIBRARY BOOKS
A friendly reminder to please check your child’s backpack and bookshelf for any overdue library books they may have forgotten to bring back to school. Notices will be in Thursday envelopes this week. Any outstanding books that are not returned or taken care of will result in your child’s report card and yearbook being held in the main office.
OPEN HOUSE ON THURSDAY, MAY 28
Open House is this Thursday. Kindergarten classrooms will be open from 6-7pm and 1st – 5th grades will be open from 6:30-7:30pm. Pre-purchased ZPizza will be served at 5:30 on the lunch patio. Print the pre-order form and turn in to your child’s teacher or front office by Tuesday.

LEGALLY BLONDE
Bring the whole family to see Legally Blonde presented by Thurston Middle School’s Jr. Park Avenue Players at Thurston Middle School Black Box Theater. The show will play from May 28-June 6 with evening and matinee performances. More info here or call 949.497.7769.

It’s on for next Friday, May 29! Join us at Alta Laguna Park at 3:30 for an informal after-school gathering. It’s a chance to hang with TOW friends, plus learn about volunteer opportunities for next year. Pass the word to incoming families!

Our final PTA meeting of the year is on Monday, June 8 at 8:15am. Something you’d like to bring up? Please send agenda items to Sarah Durand by next Wednesday. In our efforts to keep meeting times to about an hour, non-agenda items will not be discussed.
